Jan Buitelaar has been Principal Investigator of several large-scale national research projects, such as a screening study for Autism Spectrum Disorder in over 30,000 infants. He is the Principal Investigator of the Pediatric European Risperidone Study (PERS) and of the Translational Adolescent and Childhood Therapeutic Interventions in Compulsive Syndromes project (TACTICS) both funded by FP7, and of the NeuroIMAGE study.
